Welcome to Down South Desserts! I’m so happy you’re here and truly thankful you took the time to stop by.
My love for baking started when I was just a little girl, standing in the kitchen watching my mom and grandmothers create delicious scratch made desserts. The kind of recipes that were a staple at family gatherings. Their kitchens were alwaysfull of laughter, love, and the smell of something sweet in the oven. I always knew I wanted to grow up and create the same kind of joy—making desserts that are not only beautiful, but made with heart and meant to be shared.
In March of 2022, I began baking and creating my own recipes, never imagining just how far it would grow. What started as a simple passion quickly turned into taking custom orders and sharing my desserts with others. Over the past four years, I’ve been blessed to create desserts for more than 26 weddings, countless birthday celebrations, and hundreds of dozens of cupcakes. We are so grateful to have sold out time and time again at local events. There is truly nothing that fills my heart more than seeing someone’s face light up after that first bite.
Down South Desserts wouldn’t be what it is today without my family. My four children love spending time with me baking whenever they can, and some of my sweetest moments are made with little hands helping along the way. Just like my mom and grandmothers did for me, I hope to pass down that same love of baking, family, and togetherness to my children.
